What it does
A recruiter or founder pastes a job description, or describes the role in their own words. elital returns a shortlist of freelance engineers. Every candidate on it has a match score from 0 to 100 and a few lines on why they fit. The public shortlist is anonymized: an initial, no full names.
How it works
- The pasted text is expanded into search queries, then matched with vector search and full-text search in PostgreSQL (pgvector).
- A scoring step ranks the candidates it found.
- An LLM writes a "why this match" note for each candidate, as a background job.
- Shortlists can be shared by link with people who have no account.
- Admins approve or reject contact requests for a candidate and get a daily digest.
What it shows about our work
It is the product where we have shipped LLM features ourselves: retrieval, scoring, and an explanation a person can read. Version 1.1.0 (February 2026) added collaborative shortlists and the AI match reasoning. System tests cover the guest flow, shortlisting, search and shared links.
